Our Chauchilla Pre-inca Cemetery Tour takes you to visit an ancient necropolis of more than 1000 years. It is the only archaeological site in Peru, where you can see tombs and human remains belonging to an ancient culture, along with artifacts. For many years Chauchilla Cemetery was ranted out by treasure hunters. These grave robbers stole all valuable artifacts and left mummified bodies, human hair, bones, pottery fragments and pieces of cloth that can still be seen in their ancient tombs.

Itinerary
At the indicated time, Our guide will pick you up at your hotel to start our tour. On the way, you will enjoy a beautiful desert landscape surrounded by colorful hills. Once in Chauchilla pre-inca cemetery you can see human remains, some which still have hair, eyes, and skin on them, along with artifacts it was believed that after death it would move to another life so they buried them with their personal belongings.
We will end our visit in a pottery workshop, where few families are dedicated to the manufacture of pottery using materials and techniques from the Nasca culture era.
